In the first of our previews on new and exciting bulls to join the Norbreck portfolio, we take a look at our British Blue bull Black N Blue Monster Munch.
By Jiosco De Focant, he’s out of the Label De Spy daughter, Black N Blue Empress, herself a daughter of the successful show cow Black N Blue Uk.com and a full sister to the 9000gns Black N Blue Diesel.
A full sister to Monster Munch, Black N Blue Lady Lloyd, was female and reserve overall champion in Carlisle and sold for 4000gns, having previously been interbreed champion at Shropshire West Midlands Show at just 11 months old.
Bred by Norbreck’s beef consultant Sally Lloyd and her husband Neil, Monster Munch has already proved a big hit in the Norbreck portfolio with Philip Halhead describing him as “perhaps the most fertile bull we’ve had on the stud in the last 20 years.”
With a proven track record of crossing sires in his pedigree, there are high hopes with this bull with interest already strong so full expect him to become a number one breeder.
As his breeder, Sally says: “Monster Munch has been a stand out from a young age, demonstrating great natural muscling ability and mobility. It’s particularly pleasing to be able to market a bull you know the full breeding and history on.”
